Pumps use Power to take nearby  Water (Blue Pump), Lava (Orange Pump), or Oily Stone (Black Pump) from the world and put them into Fluid Pipes. Look at the Pump’s item lore to see what range it has The Power side of the Pump connects to a Power Cable and a power source such as a Solar Panel. The side of the Pump connects to a Fluid Pipe, which can send the Fluid to a Fluid Tank or another Machine. If there are no blocks to pump in range, you can see that by interacting with the Pump and looking at the display information.

The Lava Pump can also collect Lava from nearby lava-filled Cauldrons, allowing you to create a renewable Lava setup using Dripstone.
